September 26, 2007 HBK WORKS WITH ALL VERSIONS OF WINDOWS well, it works with 2000 at least :) probly xp too. My initial name was PC-W8 and I changed it to PC-W10. Thanks for the guidance! I have win7starter. I am now trying to give ownership back to TrustedInstaller using NT SERVICE\TrustedInstaller. I too had the above problems renaming C:\Users\Kevin, even in safe mode.

Now you can Rename the account, full name and description (and group membership if needed from the 2nd tab). This worked perfectly!
