I've tried googling and installing beta versions, but no go.I went as far as doing a fresh clean install of SP3 and still get the same problem. My PC Spec. i did so, but to no effect. im gonna try doing that. his comment is here
Since you haven't tried it, I would remove the newer RAM to see if that allows XP to install without incident with just the original RAM present. but if the memtest says it was good does it make a difference?? And I don't know if this effects anything, when I install programs I install them to the bigger partition in my hardrive, not the 24gb one which has got windows on read that standard pc with c-step i486 is some old platform stuff] some ACPI STUFF.. Nothign else. Since i have a desktop pc i placed all the files needed for flashing the BIOS and set up the flash drive so i can boot it [using these steps http://www.msicomputer.com/support/images/BIOS_FD.pdf]. I installed it on my motherboard (A7V8X-X) and after a period of time I started to get BSODs. I decided to copy all my files onto my new hardrive. and yes im sure they ran memtest because i saw the cd with big memtest written on it... My Hard Drive SATA .
make sure you have chosen the cd as your first boot device. Therefore, never power down or reset a PC when flashing the BIOS. Origin relies on the browsers and IE5 may not have all of the required updates. check over here Only program I installed besides drivers needed is Firefox.
